Amen Thompson has agreed to a five-year, $208 million rookie-scale contract extension with the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The new agreement includes a 10% trade kicker. Selected fourth overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, Thompson led the league in minutes played last season.
The 23-year-old posted career highs of 18.3 points, 5.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game, becoming the youngest of nine players to average at least 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
