Luis Scola has officially been named an ambassador for the 2026 FIBA Intercontinental Cup, which will be held in Beijing from September 22 to 27.
The appointment recognizes one of international basketball’s most iconic figures. Scola represented Argentina at five Olympic Games, winning gold in Athens in 2004 and bronze in Beijing in 2008.
The current Pallacanestro Varese CEO will now return to the Chinese capital in an institutional role, representing a competition that brings together clubs from different continents.
