AEK BC have officially announced the signing of DeAndre Pinckney, a 26-year-old American forward standing 2.03 meters tall.
Born on February 29, 2000, in Miami Gardens, Florida, Pinckney played his college basketball at Southern Mississippi, graduating in 2023. During his final NCAA season, he averaged 12.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
Pinckney’s international experience
Over the past three seasons, Pinckney has played for six different teams across Europe and Puerto Rico.
He began his professional career with the Bakken Bears in Denmark, averaging 15.8 points and 8.1 rebounds. He then moved to France, where he played for Le Portel, recording 7.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Pinckney subsequently joined Hapoel Haifa in Israel, where he averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds, before moving to Romania to play for Vâlcea, posting 13.6 points and 5.8 rebounds.
Strong numbers with Ramat Gan
The American forward returned to Israel with Ramat Gan, enjoying one of his most productive professional seasons.
Pinckney averaged 17.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, establishing himself as an important contributor on both ends of the floor.
He most recently played for Arecibo in Puerto Rico, where he finished with 11 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
AEK are now adding a versatile forward with significant international experience despite his relatively young age.
