The German Finals MVP signed a three-year contract extension

Justin Bean will stay with ALBA Berlin through the end of the 2028/29 season. The German club announced a three-year contract extension for the American power forward, who joined Berlin in the summer of 2023 and has become one of the team’s key players.

Bean played a major role in ALBA’s German championship run in June 2026, earning Finals MVP honors after averaging 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists against Bayern Munich. Last season, he averaged 10.4 points and 6.1 rebounds in the BBL, along with 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League.

“Justin is an incredibly important part of our program and perfectly embodies our culture and philosophy,” sporting director Himar Ojeda said. Bean added: “I am incredibly happy to stay in Berlin. I can’t wait to continue making history with this team.”
