Bayern Munich signs Austin Wiley to three-year deal

The American center joins from Hapoel Jerusalem after leading the EuroCup in rebounding

Bayern Munich officially announced the signing of Austin Wiley. The 27-year-old American center, standing at 2.08 meters, has signed a three-year contract with the German club after spending two seasons with Hapoel Jerusalem.

Wiley brings a clear profile: inside power, rim protection and elite rebounding. Last season, he led the EuroCup in rebounds with 9.5 per game, while also averaging 10.4 points in under 20 minutes and shooting 74% from two-point range.

“I want to be the defensive anchor of the team in every game and control the paint,” Wiley said. Head coach Anton Gavel described him as a player who can provide “enormous defensive presence,” while sports director Thorsten Leibenath praised his motor and ability to finish efficiently near the rim.
