Barcelona have reportedly changed direction in their search for a new head coach. According to Ernest Macià, with Gerard Solé also reporting the update, the club have informed Paolo Galbiati’s entourage that they are not currently counting on him.
Galbiati, currently head coach of Baskonia, had been strongly linked with the Barcelona bench in recent days amid a very active European coaching market. However, the latest development points to a clear slowdown in that scenario.
Galbiati therefore remains tied to Baskonia, where both the coach and the club had previously indicated continuity for next season. Barcelona will now move into a new phase in their search for a head coach.
