According to reports from Spain, Casademont Zaragoza is expected to keep its point guard tandem of Trae Bell-Haynes and Marco Spissu for the 2026-27 season.
The 30-year-old Canadian guard, who averaged 13.7 points and 4.5 assists in 25 minutes per game in the ACB this season, is still under contract for another year. His deal reportedly would only have been voided in the event of relegation.
As for Spissu, the Italian playmaker who played a key role in Zaragoza’s dramatic comeback victory over Rio Breogán that secured the club’s top-flight status, the organization has reportedly decided to exercise the option included in the 2+1 contract he signed two years ago.
In his second season with Zaragoza, Spissu averaged 7.2 points, 4.2 assists, and 1.4 steals in 22 minutes per game across ACB and FIBA Europe Cup competition.
