Dubai BC denied return home: ABA League playoffs to be played on neutral court

Dubai BC will not be allowed to play the rest of the ABA League playoffs at home, with the club set to host its semifinal and potential final games on neutral court.

According to MozzartSport, the decision was made unanimously by the ABA League Presidency during an extraordinary online meeting. The league cited the unstable situation in the region and the need to protect the integrity of the competition.

Dubai had officially requested to return home for the semifinal series and possible final, but the request was rejected. The UAE club will now have to find a temporary venue in Europe to finish the season.

Dubai will face Budućnost in the semifinals. The ABA League expressed regret over the situation and hopes the club can return to playing in front of its home fans next season.
