OG Anunoby exits late in Game 2 as Knicks beat 76ers and take 2-0 lead

The New York Knicks moved 2-0 up in their Eastern Conference semifinal series with a 108-102 Game 2 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, but concern grew late in the fourth quarter when OG Anunoby left the floor gingerly after a dunk attempt.

Anunoby signaled to the bench that he needed to come out after a Mikal Bridges jumper gave New York a 103-99 lead with 2:56 remaining. Coach Mike Brown had no clear update after the game: “It looked like he was hopping, but I don’t know anything.”

Anunoby finished with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 block in 37 minutes. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns also said they did not yet know the extent of the issue. Game 3 will be played Friday in Philadelphia.

OG Anunoby appears to have run into Maxey’s knee to his thigh , he immediately jumps from the pain. Later in the sequence he is grabbing at the same thigh. Then limps slightly towards the bench. Looks like a thigh contusion. Dead Leg. pic.twitter.com/f6cAEcGipr
