According to BasketNews, 19-year-old German big man Hannes Steinbach has turned down NIL offers worth around $10 million in order to enter the upcoming NBA Draft.

Steinbach, a frequent standout with Germany’s youth national teams, spent the 2025/26 season at Washington Huskies, where he averaged 18.5 points (57% FG, 76% FT), 11.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.

The massive offer received by the young prospect further confirms the rapid growth of NIL budgets across college programs. Just yesterday, Quinn Ellis committed to St. John’s Red Storm with a NIL deal well beyond European standards.
