Ergin Ataman called Panathinaikos’ matchup with Zalgiris “a very important game,” pointing to the one-win gap in the standings and Panathinaikos’ win in Kaunas: “Tomorrow we must play aggressively and with the support of our fans, like every game at OAKA.”
On personnel, Ataman confirmed: “Yes, Lessort will be available and I think he will be on the roster tomorrow,” while noting the team’s inconsistency has been influenced by frontcourt changes and absences, including Kendrick Nunn missing 5–6 games.
Ataman also set the tone for the run-in: “If the team shows up like in the Cup, then we will fight for all our goals,” adding that regular-season losses matter less to him than losing at the Final Four. He closed by welcoming Dimitris Giannakopoulos’ presence at practice: “He’s the owner and president… we are a family.”
