The Oklahoma City Thunder have cleared Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to return on Thursday, and he will be available for Friday’s home game against the Denver Nuggets.
SGA missed the past nine games after suffering the injury in a Feb. 3 win over the Orlando Magic, with OKC going 5-4 in his absence and their Western Conference lead trimmed to two games over the San Antonio Spurs, winners of 10 straight with the tiebreaker.
OKC remain without Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell: Williams, who played two games before the All-Star break, aggravated a right hamstring strain and is expected to be reevaluated in about a week; Mitchell has been out since Jan. 21 and later sprained an ankle in a workout.
