Cooper Flagg is learning the harsh reality of life as a top draft pick. After a 2-6 start with the Dallas Mavericks, the rookie admitted he’s not used to losing this much.
“This is the most I’ve lost since, I think, ever,” Flagg said.
Flagg’s high school and college résumé had been defined by dominance — a 24-1 record and state title at Nokomis High, a combined 56-3 mark at Montverde Academy, and just four losses in his lone season at Duke.
Now, the rookie forward faces a new challenge: adjusting to adversity in the NBA.
