Carsen Edwards, scorer and leader of this new cycle at Virtus Bologna, talks to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Here are some excerpts.
ON BEING A LEADER
‘I don’t think I necessarily want to try to be a leader. My main goal is to be the best I can be and set a good example. It seems to me that leaders are able to lead vocally, but the most important thing is to lead by example.’
ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH IVANOVIC
‘I think he wants me to play hard and in the right way, as part of the team. He wants us all to play as a team. I want to be able to play well and do the things he wants.’
ON BOLOGNA
‘Great. There’s a good culture and a great history here. In Bologna, they love basketball and cheer for their team. We’ve seen that in these first few games.’
ON THE LONG SCHEDULE
‘I’m just thinking one game at a time. That’s normal. The season is long, we have to manage every moment as best we can. But the club has everything it needs to do that.’
