The men of Kurtiniatis control the game from the opening, with their opponents almost always trailing and relying on the usual Porzingis, who delivered a record-breaking performance (34 points and 19 rebounds) but was far too alone in Latvia’s offense. In the final minutes, Lomazs tried to spark a comeback with some three-pointers, but it was too late. Coach Banchi ends his time on the national team bench with a loss. Lithuania shot 30/44 from the free-throw line and came out on top despite Valanciunas playing only 10 minutes. They will face either Greece or Israel in the next round.
