Mike Weinar and the Indiana Pacers have mutually agreed to part ways. Weinar had recently withdrawn from consideration for a coaching position on Mike Brown’s staff with the New York Knicks.
Rick Carlisle praised Weinar for his contributions, citing his NCAA titles with Florida and the 2011 NBA championship with Dallas. Carlisle also highlighted Weinar’s importance in the Pacers’ historic Finals run this past season.
Calling him “a trusted friend and proven winner,” Carlisle emphasized Weinar’s leadership and character over nearly two decades of collaboration.
