According to Eurohoops, Panathinaikos and Baskonia have reached an agreement on a buyout for Nikos Rogkavopoulos, clearing the way for the Greek forward to join Ergin Ataman’s squad.
Rogkavopoulos is expected to sign a contract through 2028.
The reported interest of Olympiacos in the player may have pushed the Greens to accelerate negotiations and close the deal.
The 24-year-old forward returns to Greece after three seasons abroad — one in Turkey with Merkezefendi and two with Baskonia in the Spanish Liga Endesa and EuroLeague.
Panathinaikos is still active on the market, currently searching for a big man to further strengthen the roster.
