Kevon Looney is joining the New Orleans Pelicans. According to ESPN, the three-time NBA champion has signed a two-year, $16 million contract with the Pelicans.
Looney, 29, was drafted by the Warriors in 2015 and spent his entire NBA career in Golden State, where he became a key part of the team alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green.
Last season, Looney averaged 4.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 76 games, excelling in offensive rebounding and off-ball screening, which made him a crucial role player for the Warriors.
This move ends his tenure in California, bringing experience and stability to the Pelicans’ frontcourt as they aim for a strong season in the Western Conference.
