Thomas briefly played for the Lakers in the 2017-18 season

The Los Angeles Lakers have considered using one of their final roster spots on Isaiah Thomas, sources tell Marc Stein.

Thomas, 32, is attempting to remain in the NBA after a short stint during the 20-21 season with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The new point guard could improve Minnesota’s pace and ball movement, while Anthony Edwards remains central to the offense
