Thompson’s knee has recovered from ACL surgery
Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Klay Thompson has been cleared to train without restriction on his healed knee, sources told The Athletic.
The Warriors’ season is over but the team’s belief is that the NBA will authorize a minicamp between mid-July and August, with group practices and intrasquad scrimmages.
The 38-year-old veteran has drawn interest from the Utah Jazz but would prefer to sign with a team capable of competing for the NBA championship
The reigning champions have added several experienced players to compete for the final two roster spots, including former NBA champion Bruce Brown on the wing.
The veteran point guard will attend training camp and compete for a place on Sacramento’s final roster
