Joel Embiid will miss at least three games due to a strained right oblique, the Philadelphia 76ers announced.

The star center suffered the injury during Thursday’s win over the Miami Heat, and medical exams he underwent yesterday confirmed the issue.

Embiid will not play Sunday in Boston and will be re-evaluated after the team’s two consecutive home games scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The big man had 26 points and 11 rebounds in Thursday’s game and averaged 29 points in the month of February — the top mark in the Eastern Conference — albeit in just five appearances.
