76ers’ Joel Embiid leaves game with shoulder injury, scheduled for MRI

Embiid left the game in the first quarter

Philadelphia 76ers lost Joel Embiid to an injury in loss to Cleveland Cavaliers.
As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Embiid will have an MRI today.

Per ESPN, Sixers coach Brett Brown said he was “unsure” whether Embiid would play in Thursday’s home game against the New York Knicks.
“I’m really sort of a prisoner to the medical people’s information,” Brown said after the Sixers’108-94 road loss to the Cavaliers. “I haven’t checked in. I just left the team. I’m unsure, I really am unsure.”
