According to Shams Charania, 76ers star Ben Simmons spoke with Doc Rivers and his teammate-Joel Embiid included– during the shootaround ahead of tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.
The 3-time All Star would like to return to play but asked for time because now he doesn’t feel mentally prepared.
Simmons was suspended for the regular-season opener, and he will definitely not play in tonight’s game.
