Last night, in the Boston Celtics’ victory over the Dallas Mavericks at TD Garden, Jayson Tatum made his long-awaited return to the court.
It has been 298 days since May 12, 2025, when the Celtics’ number 0 was forced to the sidelines during Game 4 of the Conference Semifinals against the New York Knicks due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.
In his comeback performance, he recorded 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists. While it will clearly take some time before we see the ‘real’ Tatum back in peak form, his return is undoubtedly crucial for Joe Mazzulla’s squad, especially with the playoffs on the horizon.
