BKT EuroCup announces 2026-27 schedule with 224 regular season games

The new format features 32 teams, four groups of eight and best-of-three playoff series

The BKT EuroCup has announced the schedule for the 2026-27 season. The competition will feature a new format, with 32 teams divided into four round-robin groups of eight and the top four teams from each group advancing to the postseason.

The regular season will include 224 games, played from Tuesday, September 29, 2026, to Wednesday, January 13, 2027. The playoffs will feature Eighthfinals, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals, with every series played in a best-of-three format. The Finals are scheduled to begin with Game 1 on April 21, followed by Game 2 on April 27 and, if needed, Game 3 on April 30.

Italian clubs will be involved from opening week. Baglietto Derthona Tortona will make its EuroCup debut on the road against Riga Zelli in the first EuroCup game for both teams. Umana Reyer Venice will host Skyliners Frankfurt, Maxima Roma will make its home debut against U-BT Cluj-Napoca, Napoli Basket will return to the EuroCup for the first time since 2005 by hosting reigning champion Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse, while Dolomiti Energia Trento will open at Neptunas Klaipeda.
