Zeljko Obradović slams EuroLeague structure and NBA’s motives in Europe

The Partizan coach says the NBA’s European plans are “100% about money” and demands equality in EuroLeague rights

Željko Obradović, head coach of Partizan, criticized both the lack of transparency in EuroLeague and the NBA’s potential expansion into Europe. “It’s 100% about money,” he told Basket News, adding that the EuroLeague’s structure is flawed: “It’s not fair that only 13 clubs have full rights.”

Obradović said Partizan wants to stay in the league, but not under current conditions — with teams like his paying €5 million for three-year licenses and receiving no TV or marketing revenue.
