Zalgiris Kaunas, Olimpia Milano’s next EuroLeague opponents, are already thinking about next season. In fact, as reported by 15min.lt, the Lithuanian club is looking for a new centre for the upcoming season, and there is interest in Alex Poythress, the Olimpia Milano centre who hasn’t found much space this season. Poythress’ name was in the Kaunas club’s notebook five years ago, when coach Jasikevicius was still on the bench.
Poythress is averaging 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game this EuroLeague season and has shown encouraging signs of recovery in the team’s recent outings after a hiatus preceded by some difficulties on the court.
