Zalgiris fights back at home: beats Rytas, it’s 1-2

Zalgiris Kaunas reacts after a double away defeat against Rytas in the Lithuanian Championship final. The score at 40′ says 91-81 in favor of the green and white team, which starts strong right away, finding a 25-15 partial at the end of the first quarter. After the controversy of Game 2 because of coach Trinchieri’s words about the referee, Zalgiris found the strength to keep their title hopes alive.

Zalgiris got 22 points from Sumner, 19 from Lekavicius and 14 from Ulanovas.

For Rytas, Foster’s 25, Echodas’ 15 with 7 rebounds and Gorham’s 12 with 6 rebounds were not enough.
