A year after beginning the bureaucratic process to obtain an Azerbaijani passport, Zach LeDay can officially make his debut with Azerbaijan. In fact, LeDay has been officially included in the Azerbaijani national team’s final 12-man roster for the FIBA 2027 World Cup European Pre-Qualifiers.
Azerbaijan’s first game is scheduled for today, Thursday, Feb. 22, against Switzerland. The second game of the FIBA window, however, will be on Sunday, February 25 against Kosovo.
This season, LeDay averaged 9.5 points and 4.2 rebounds for 12.5 PIR in the EuroLeague with Partizan Belgrade.
