Rytas Vilnius triumphs in the Youth Basketball Champions League after winning the final against Galatasaray of Turkey 98-62 in a game that was controlled for the entire 40 minutes. The Lithuanian team became only the second team to win the trophy, and they did so by establishing themselves as the best offense in the competition, averaging 93.2 points per game, winning five of as many games played, and also winning the semifinals against defending champion Igokea.

The MVP was Ignas Urbonas, a forward from the class of 2007, who averaged 19 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
