NBA analyst Brian Windhorst has acknowledged that his 2018 MVP vote for James Harden over LeBron James was a mistake.
“The longer I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realized how great LeBron was that season,” Windhorst admitted. That year, LeBron carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals, averaging 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists, while playing all 82 games. However, the MVP went to Harden, who led the Houston Rockets with 30.4 points and 8.8 assists per game.
A debate that still lingers: Did LeBron deserve it more?
