Will Wade has agreed to take over as the NC State head coach, sources told ESPN. The McNeese coach, who led his team to the Southland Conference regular-season and tournament titles, will face Clemson in the NCAA tournament before making the move official.
Wade, formerly at LSU, acknowledged the discussions, stating, “There’s no need to hide it, the guys see it on social media.”
The coach has had success at VCU, Chattanooga, and LSU, but also faced NCAA violations during his tenure with the Tigers.
