Walter Tavares officially extends with Real Madrid

Real Madrid C.F. announced the contract extension of Walter Tavares, who will remain linked to the club for the next five seasons.

During his seven seasons with Real Madrid, Tavares won 14 titles: 2 European Cups, 4 Championships, 2 King’s Cups and 6 Spanish Super Cups. He was named 3 times in the ideal quintet of the Euroleague (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23) and La Liga (2018/19, 2020/21, 2022/23). He was named MVP of the Final Four (2023), the Liga Endesa final (2021/22) and the Spanish Supercup (2022). In addition, he was recognised as the best defender in the Euroleague on three occasions and in the Liga Endesa in four consecutive seasons.

Since arriving at the club, Walter Tavares has become a fundamental player for Real Madrid and a pivot of reference in Europe, contributing to one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
