Virtus Segafredo Bologna pulled off a big surprise on the road as it hammered AS Monaco 59-83 after hitting a club record 16 three-pointers. Six players hit at least 2 triples for Virtus, which improved to 1-1.
Iffe Lundberg was the Italian side’s leading scorer with 14 points, while Marco Belinelli had 13 points and Jaleen Smith and Toko Shengelia both had 12 points. Mike James paced Monaco with 14 points as the hosts’ only player in double figures. Monaco dropped to 0-2 with two poor losses.
