Virtus Bologna wants to end the EuroCup season and already proposed the idea to change the format of the competition and resume with a Final Eight between the eight remaining teams.

With the coronavirus pandemic it is really unlikely that EuroLeague Basketball will be able to resume and end before June both EuroLeague and EuroCup season.

The idea of Virtus Bologna is to organize and host a Final Eight next September, with new rosters, to end the competition, as reported by Il Resto del Carlino.

“EuroLeague listen to us, not like in Italy” Baraldi said.

The finalists would also book tickets for next EuroLeague season, if Valencia doesn’t finish EuroLeague in top 8.

Basketball Champions League already announced that the current season will finish between September and October 2020 with a Final Eight.
