Virtus Bologna CEO says seven teams out of eight agreed on playing EuroCup Final Eight
Monaco is only team that has not accepted yet Virtus Bologna’s proposal
Virtus Bologna managing director Luca Baraldi spoke with Radio Bologna Uno this morning before EuroLeague Basketball suspended its competitions until further notice due to coronavirus outbreak in Europe.
“My idea of playing a EuroCup Final Eight is catching on: a seventh team agreed on my proposal and only Monaco did not accept yet. This pleases me: it would be an additional aspect that would push the EuroLeague to protect the health of all athletes and staff now" Baraldi said. "We had already decided to stop Serie A. In my personal opinion, all events, especially the summer ones, will be postponed. I think the Olympics will also be put off. We could probably have enough time to finish the season."
A few days ago Baraldi said that EuroLeague did not accept his proposal to play an EuroCup Final Eight.
