Jerry Stackhouse was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Vanderbilt basketball team following the team’s SEC Tournament loss to Arkansas, which ended the season with a 9-23 record.

The former North Carolina star had been given a contract extension after the 2022-23 season, which ended with a 22-15 record, but failed to live up to expectations this year.

Vanderbilt finished with a 4-14 record in the SEC Championship, finishing thirteenth out of fourteen teams.
