UNICS president says team "plans to continue with coach Priftis after qualify to Euroleague"

Kazan earned a much awaited return to Euroleague Basketball with yesterday's win over Virtus Bologna.

UNICS President Yevgeny Bogachev, in an interview with Metaratings.ru, said the team plans to continue with head coach Dimitris Priftis after qualifying for the 2021-22 edition of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Priftis is at UNICS since 2017 after three seasons spent with Aris.

“Last season we signed a contract with him on the 1+1 system. We plan to continue our relationship, and I am sure that we will find a common language with him. For four years in Kazan, he has already become his man here. For him, this is the first entry into the Euroleague, so I think all parties are interested in him staying”, he said.
