Unicaja Malaga signs Killian Tillie

Unicaja Malaga announced the official signing of Killian Tillie. He is a power forward with NBA experience.

Killian Tillie is the new face of Unicaja. The Malaga team has closed the signing for the next season 2024-25 of the French power forward, 2.08 meters and 26 years old, who arrives in Malaga after starring in a great NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics, with whom he has averaged 8.4 points (56.3% in 2 and 41.2% in three pointers), 3.8 rebounds and a block in 17.6 minutes of play in the 5 games he has played.

He is a versatile power forward, with the ability to play in the post and open the court thanks to his good outside shooting. He also has good passing and blocking skills. Since his early days he showed his talent, being a regular in the lower calls of France, with which he came to conquer the European Under-16 in 2014, a competition in which he was the MVP with 14.3 points, 9.6 rebounds and 22.8 valuation. He later made the jump to the United States, where he was part of Gonzaga University for four seasons (2016-20), averaging 13.6 points, 5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and almost a block per game in his last year in the NCAA, which attracted the attention of the NBA.

In the best league in the world, he played a total of 54 games for the Memphis Grizzlies between 2020 and 2022, averaging 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 11.9 minutes of play. During that period, he also played minutes for the Memphis Hustle, a team with ties to the G League.

Injuries, however, punished the player, who was unable to compete for two and a half seasons. A tough stage that he finally left behind after recovering and returning to a great competitive level, as he demonstrated in the last NBA Summer League, in which he was one of the most outstanding players of the Boston Celtics.

On a personal level, Killian Tillie is the brother of former acb player Kim Tillie, who was part of UCAM Murcia, Baskonia and Herbalife Gran Canaria.

Welcome, Killian!
