Chris Chiozza has become the new signing for UCAM Murcia CB towards the end of the season. The 27-year-old American point guard, standing at 1.80m, is known for his explosiveness which he uses both offensively and defensively, his ball-handling skills, and his three-point shooting (40%). He has also caught the interest of some of the best European teams in recent summers due to his leadership and character. Chiozza has played for the Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors (where he became an NBA champion in 2022), and Brooklyn Nets, but this will be his first time playing outside of the United States as he joins UCAM Murcia CB.
Chiozza was trained at the prestigious University of Florida (Gators), where he played four seasons and averaged 7.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. In the current season, he has played a total of 48 games with the Long Islands Nets of the G-League, where he has averaged 12.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 17.5 efficiency rating.
He will join Sito Alonso’s team immediately until the end of the season and will be able to play in both the Liga Endesa and the quarterfinals of the Basketball Champions League.
