Zalgiris Kaunas has added one more player to its roster for the new season

Zalgiris Kaunas has added one more player to its roster for the new season. Tyrone Wallace has signed a one season contract, and will be wearing the green and white jersey for the upcoming year.

The 30-year-old guard arrives from Turk Telekom Ankara, which competed in the EuroCup last season.

“We are happy that Tyrone is joining Zalgiris. He is an ambitious and motivated player who fits our vision for the upcoming season. Wallace was one of the best players in the EuroCup last season and he is eager to prove that he can compete at the highest level,” said Zalgiris GM Gediminas Navickas.

The American averaged 17.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.7 steals in Europe’s second-largest club basketball tournament.

In Turkey, Wallace averaged 17.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.

“I’m really excited for the upcoming season. I can’t wait to get down to Zalgirio Arena and to feel all the energy the fans bring. I am really looking forward to having a good year. I want to get to know all the coaches and teammates as soon as possible. See you soon!”, Wallace told Zalgiris.lt.

The American played for Paris Basketball in the 2022-2023 season.

Wallace also has NBA experience, having played for the Los Angeles Clippers (scoring 9.7 points per game in the 2017-2018 season), Atlanta Hawks and New Orleans Pelicans. He also played in the G League.
