Le Mans SB is back in the Leaders Cup final, thanks to an outstanding performance by Trevor Hudgins. The American point guard scored 29 points (9/17 FG) and delivered two clutch three-pointers in the final minute to seal an 88-85 victory over Saint-Quentin.
Hudgins first tied the game with a corner three at 47 seconds, then hit a step-back triple to complete the comeback. “I had my teammates’ and coaches’ trust,” he said post-game.
Saint-Quentin, which had led by as many as 12 points, struggled with defensive inconsistency and 18 turnovers, despite Jerome Robinson’s 20-point effort. Now, Le Mans, 11 years after their last title, will battle ASVEL or Monaco for the trophy.
