The devastating fire at the Gran Kartal Hotel in Kartalkaya, central Turkey, has left 66 dead and 51 injured. The tragedy, which occurred overnight, prompted Turkish President Erdogan to pledge a thorough investigation and justice for the victims.
The basketball world has also expressed its condolences. Panathinaikos released a message stating, “We express our sorrow for the tragedy and send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.”
Anadolu Efes offered support, saying, “We pray for the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.” Similarly, Fenerbahce shared a message of solidarity, honoring the lives lost and extending sympathies to the affected families and community.
