Toko Shengelia’s future could lie at Barcelona. According to Sportando, the big Georgian would be a prime target for the Blaugrana next season.
One of the most charismatic leaders in European basketball, Shengelia finished last season in the EuroLeague averaging 15.6 points and 5 rebounds per game.
For some time now, there have been strong rumours that he will leave Virtus Bologna at the end of the season: remember, the 2+1 contract he signed in 2022 expires on 30 June 2025.
And this is where Barcelona come into the picture, where the confirmations of Chimezie Metu (free agent at the end of the season) and Willy Hernangomez (under contract until 2026) would be in doubt. The Blaugrana would be willing to offer Toko Shengelia a lucrative three-year contract, the agreement would be very close.
