The format for the 2024-25 season is unchanged. There will be 34 rounds of round-robin action in which all teams play all others twice, home and away. Then comes the Play-In Showdown, followed by four best-of-five playoff series and then the highlight of the season, the EuroLeague Final Four, where the next champion will be crowned.
The season will begin exactly where the previous one finished; Uber Arena in the German capital will see host ALBA Berlin take on defending champion Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens at 18:45 CET on Thursday, October 2. Later that night, FC Bayern Munich will christen its brand-new home, SAP Garden, against 2024 runner-up Real Madrid. The following evening, Paris Basketball will become the newest team to compete in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague when it hosts Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade.
The first derby of the season takes place in Istanbul in Round 2 when Anadolu Efes hosts crosstown rival Fenerbahce Beko. The first of the season’s eight two-round weeks runs from Tuesday, October 15 to Friday, October 18, during which the championship game rematch between Los Blancos and the Greens will take place in the Spanish capital in Round 4.
Other can’t-miss dates include the first Athens derby, with Olympiacos Piraeus visiting Panathinaikos in Round 8; the derby of Belgrade in Round 11; and El Clásico in Round 12.
The regular season will draw to a close on April 11, 2025, by which time the top six teams will have already clinched playoff berths and the next four will be on their way to the Play-in Showdown.
The Play-In games will take place on Tuesday, April 15 and Friday, April 18. They are followed by the best-of-five playoffs beginning on Tuesday, April 22. The playoffs will end no later than Wednesday, May 7, if any of the series go the distance. The 2025 EuroLeague Final Four is set for the semifinals on Friday, May 23, 2025, and the championship game two days later.
