Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum will play against South Sudan on Wednesday, as confirmed by Team USA coach Steve Kerr.
Tatum, who was left out in the victory over Serbia, will return to the court despite internal competition for places on the team. Kerr emphasised the difficulty of managing a team with so many top players, but believes Tatum is crucial for the upcoming matches.
The decision not to field Tatum against Serbia drew much criticism, but Kerr recognised the importance of keeping all players ready.
