The Boston Celtics suffered a brutal Game 4 loss, falling 121-113 to the Knicks, but even more alarming was Jayson Tatum’s leg injury, which saw him helped off the court and later in a wheelchair.
Tatum had delivered 42 points on 16-for-28 shooting before collapsing after planting his right foot late in the game. Coach Joe Mazzulla confirmed an MRI is scheduled for Tuesday, but the silence in the locker room spoke volumes.
With Boston down 3-1 in the series, the absence of their star forward could end their playoff run. “We felt for him,” said Kristaps Porzingis, “but we have to keep going. It’s hard, but that’s the reality now.”
