Steve Kerr emphasized the emotional turnaround led by Draymond Green that helped the Golden State Warriors defeat the Rockets in Game 7. Joining the team’s players-only meeting, Kerr appreciated how Green addressed the issues Kerr himself planned to raise and set the tone for victory.
“I’m so proud of these guys,” Kerr said. “Looking back at where we were at the trade deadline, to now be playing meaningful basketball — that’s all you want each year. Do you have a chance? We’ve got a chance with this group.”
Kerr also praised Buddy Hield for his two-way performance and offered respect to Ime Udoka and the Rockets, calling them “a tough, well-coached team.”
