According to reports, the NBA will permit pre-approved designated back-to-back permits for players who are 35 years old or who have accumulated 34,000 regular-season minutes of playing time or 1,000 regular-season and postseason games throughout the course of their careers. If a team believes that a star player cannot participate in consecutive games, it must alert the NBA in writing at least one week beforehand, outlining the reasons why the player’s participation should be restricted. Chris Paul, Mike Conley, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, DeMar DeRozan, and James Harden are some of the top athletes who fit within this group.
