Spanish players union denies report on ACB players survey

"At no time the veracity of the news has been confirmed through ABP," the association says

The Spanish players union issued a statement in the wake of a report about the results of an anonymous survey that was conducted among players on whether they want the season to resume.

“ABP and its Board of Directors want to show their outrage on the news that appeared this afternoon in Eurohoops. At no time the veracity of the news has been confirmed through ABP. Since the beginning of this health crisis, ABP has been in permanent contact with the Board of Directors and with the squads’ representatives to inform on the legal and medical situation and to know the contract and health status of all the players. The relationship with athletes during this period has always been confidential and the questions that have been asked to them in each time have been merely informative and could never be considered final or binding in these critical and changing times. This daily contact has helped us to attend the meetings with ACB and AEMB with the general feeling of the players and thus transmit it, knowing that this process would be long. The ABP doesn’t give any value to the news or the data reflected in the post.”
